Heights

Heights have done you proud on the location front – it's at the top of the Apex Hotel – and though you'll be more likely to bump into Larry from Los Angeles than Layla from Leith it's well worth a visit. Like many of Edinburgh's better restaurants Heights errs on the formal side –turn up in your Dad's old jumper with last night's curry stains and we guarantee you'll feel like a leper. This is somewhere to wine, dine, romance and draw out the civilised conversationalist that lies within all of us. Oh, and the food – classy meat and fish dishes mainly – is excellent.
