Southsider, The

The outside of The Southsider makes you think it's just another chain pub in the Firkin mould, with its lanterns and hanging vines, but they're just trying to fool you. Inside it's more of a café bar with sanded floors, wrought iron touches, high stools and widescrean TV. Being near the heart of studentsville it packs in a rather youngish crowd and the happy hour – 5–8 daily and all day Tuesday – only serves to encourage the job dodgers to use this as their second home.
