Hogshead

We know it's unlikely – I mean, you're sat in your room reading this instead of being out on the bevy –, but if you've got nine or more mates you can call ahead and they'll put on a free buffet for you at Hogshead. That's free food –as well as a selection of real ales to sample, and the odd pub quiz, karaoke and live music session. Not the ker–aziest venue around, but if you're trying to convince your mum you're a responsible drinker who lines their stomach before a session, bring her here for a swift half. Ask the staff at Rose Street about the ghost in the cellar, who apparently helps himself to stock. Then feel sorry for the landlord who clearly has thieving staff but is too dim to realise.
