A conveyor belt–free sushi restaurant –how novel. Bonsai has an impressive selection of expertly prepared sushi and sashimi dishes and remains busy despite its focus on a genre of food that's far too healthy for any self–respecting Scot. Being new and somewhat off the beaten track this stylish little venue remains the haunt of Edinburgh's 'those in the know' but given the quality and authenticity of the food this won't be the case for long. Get in there before everyone else does.
