The New Bell Inn
At just over three years old The New Bell smugly proves that, unlike a nice bit of cheddar, you don't have to be mature to be tasty. Slap bang in the middle of Southside, with walls covered in eccentric art and family owners who treat you like you're their long lost son, this restaurant cooks up wickedly gorgeous traditional Scottish dishes from a menu that changes monthly and uses mainly Scottish produce. For impressing the lassie who's shoes cost more than your car, a pre–theatre supper or for celebrating the fact that you're one year nearer thirty the cosy, friendly atmosphere and excellent food simply cannot be beaten. An absolute winner.
