The Villager
Cool and stylish, Villager's stencil-lined walls and comfy sofas create a funky and laid-back atmosphere; however, you will still have to claw your way through shiny professionals and students with cash to get to the best tables. The menu is pretty extensive though, and crammed with global-themed dishes, the best of which is probably the vodka-martini mussels. The staff are also shiny and super-friendly, although they will insist on bringing you huge jugs of water stuffed with cucumber. And one can have too much cucumber-flavoured water.
