Much like the Green Giant, The Malt Shovel is large, verdant and hard to miss. But whereas the Green Giant might kick your arse or force-feed you sweetcorn, The Malt Shovel will lovingly provide you with a cosy environment in which to enjoy up to 92 whiskies. Not all at once, mind. A pub that attracts pretty much everyone, The Malt Shovel is a favourite with all and sundry; locals, students, office workers and tourists all make it their haunt. Every Wednesday night, local duo Rantum Scantum play, and they seem to be a crowd pleaser.
