The Outhouse

Down a slightly dodgy-looking alley sits The Outhouse, a not-so-dodgy pub in New Town. Although the drinks are pretty pricey, the beer garden makes up for it. With heaters and regular barbecues, it's warm and it has good grub - what more can you ask for? The inside is small but there's a pleasant atmosphere, even though you may have to cope with those damned backless 'cube' stools. And it can be a bit cold. So bring your own huge sofa and log fire and you'll be set.
