Traverse Theatre

The plays at The Traverse are probably best described as 'alternative,' particularly in its encouragement of new writing talent, but there's a lot more to this venue than a few over-intellectual plays with lots of sweating and swearing. With an excellent bar and a great restaurant for your pre-show meals, The Traverse is its own night out. Even if the cultural side of The Traverse is a bit too much for you for one evening, the on-site bar's still rocking. Otherwise you could just traverse the road and find somewhere else. Get it? Traverse the road? Ok, that was really poor.
