Princes Street Gardens

Nestling beautifully between the castle on high and the countless boutiques down below, the gardens are the ideal spot to relax in between visiting galleries and strenuously shopping. Come winter, they really bring out the big guns, setting up an ice rink, a ferris wheel, and their famous German Christmas markets. Avoid during returfing time in February but in summer the flowers are in full bloom, it's bright as a Cillit Bang bathroom and you even get the odd band or two performing. Plus, if you turn 360 degrees you can see the castle, Old Town, New Town and much more. But you wouldn't actually stand and turn 360 degrees, because you would look like a tool.
