Vermilion

Here's a handy fact for you: vermilion is actually a deep shade of red, and certainly a colour you won't be seeing once you dine at one of the city's most elegant restaurants in the city's most prestigious hotel. A lot of superlatives to justify there, but book a table and judge for yourself – just don't get confused when you see that much of the inside isn't actually vermilion. The name's meant to invoke images of a plush and extravagant lifestyle, not describe the wallpaper. Spoilsports.
