Bar Alba

Sadly nothing to do with the sultry Jessica; a shame really, considering it would have made the place a lot livelier (read: pant-wettingly brilliant). Actually as it is, Bar 'not-Jessica' Alba is a bit lazy and complacent thanks to its Grassmarket location, which ensures that it's always full of tourists or pre-club drinkers. It's not entirely dreadful, but don't be swayed by the masses teeming out of the place - there are much better pubs nearby. Pubs, might we add, that do not feel the need to lure folk in with the enticing prospect of Jessica Alba when they have no realistic way of delivering on this inferred promise.
