Led by two hammy actors playing characters called 'Clart' and 'McBrain' (no, really), the Literary Pub Tour takes you through Old and New Town and introduces you to the city's past in literature. Apparently they represent the duality of Edinburgh but that was lost on us. A very touristy thing to do, but good fun if you've exhausted other options and have an interest in literary history. Plus you get to down a fair few drams on your way, so oddly enough it seems to get better as you go along...
