Dancebase
They say that dancing is good for the soul. 'They' never stumbled into Leith disco at 3am. For many of Edinburgh's residents, it is irrevocably connected to stickiness, the smell of sick, and mysteriously bleeding feet. Thank God there's Dancebase, located in the city's historic Grassmarket; where, with a clear head and a bit of stretching, anyone can learn the grace and agility needed for meaningful dancing, in a calm and soothing environment. With young children, elderly couples, ex-pros and pilate-junkies, you'll never have to brave the student unions again to get in touch with the Funkapotamus.
