The best thing about dining in an all-you-can-eat Chinese is that behaving like a greedy piglet – ambling your gluttonous way from hot-plate to hot-plate, carrying a plate of steaming, multi-coloured slop – can be passed off as cultural understanding. You really are supposed to go mental in these places. For under a tenner it's a good option, although for a fraction more you can do much better in wider Edinburgh. However, the proximity to the nearby Vue makes Chinois an ideal choice for a post/pre cinema, oriental gorge-fest.
