Viva Mexico

When it's pissing it down and you've seen enough scabby, one-eyed pigeons to make you wish you weren't in Scotland, there are few better places to go than Viva Mexico. This place radiates Central America and, though the food occasionally slips into stodgy and bland territory, when they get it right it's unbeatable. Hearty enchiladas, fiery chipotle king prawns and compulsory margaritas all make the grade. Much of the menu features refried beans, so keep a dog handy post-meal and pass on the blame.
