As much as Itchy professes to love old man pubs and their depressing clientele of coffin dodgers, there is much to be said for yuppie pubs, mainly because yuppies are usually well dressed and hot. Joseph Pearce, like its patrons, wins major points in the looks department: eclectic, shabby-chic furniture, candle lit tables and the vintage mirrors and birdcages give this place a cosy, yet trendy atmosphere. Yet more points are gained for serving Swedish food because the Swedes, like yuppies, are hot. Sold.
