The Big Red Door
If there isn't a performance on, it's pretty hard to notice the Big Red Door, despite its name. It is, unsurprisingly, a Big Red Door, with a Smaller Red Door that opens to one side. Inside, you pass through a garage-space into the main venue, which can be worked into various kinds of auditoriums with stairways and doors trailing off into the unknown, as well as a seductive little bar serving fruit wines and interesting beers. Atmospheric and quirky, it feels like a slice of festival magic all year round, minus the porta-loos, mud and cattle. If you get bored, wander down the nearby Pubic Triangle. Ooh er.
